Bike Shelters in the Border Region: Beskydy-Jeseníky by Bike

Project description: The aim of the project is to develop missing infrastructure for cyclists, increase the attractiveness of the area for cycle tourism in the Moravian-Silesian border region through sustainable tourism. The project will create conditions for sustainable mobility and cycling travel, and enhance the attractiveness of the natural heritage of the involved towns and municipalities.
The construction of 4 bike shelters – in Goleszów, Gorzyce, Palkovice, Město Albrechtice – and the promotion of these shelters on bike paths connecting the Jeseníky and Beskydy regions will significantly support the development of cycle tourism in the area, creating new connections between the two countries.
The project will benefit the environment, cultural development, and tourism in the region. The bike shelters will be designed to blend into the landscape and reflect the local culture of the area.

Strategic objective:

CR4 Development of tourism infrastructure related to the development of hiking trails and paths, cross-country ski trails, cycle paths and trails, hippo and hipporeliery, associated infrastructure and other recreational facilities.
